Billing terms
These terms explain how Lee Fencing Academy, doing business as Globus Fencing Academy ("Globus"), bills for its services and collects payment. All times are the academy's local time (Central Time).
1. Monthly statements
Each month we issue a statement for the lessons and classes in that month, together with any adjustments and credits. We send it to you in the app and by email when it is issued. Each statement shows what it covers, the amount, and the date payment is due, which is 14 days after the statement is issued and never fewer than 10 days. If the statement will be paid automatically, it also shows the payment method and the day it will be charged. We remind you 7, 3 and 1 days before the due date.
2. How you can pay
We accept payment from a bank account (verified through our payment processor, Stripe) or a debit card. We do not accept credit cards or prepaid cards. There is no fee for paying.
3. Automatic payment
If you saved a bank account or debit card and accepted the automatic payment authorization in the app, we collect each statement automatically on its due date at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. If a payment does not go through, we try again 3 days and 7 days after the due date. You can also pay a statement yourself at any time with Pay now. Any credit on your account is used first.
You can turn automatic payment off at any time in the app under Billing, Payment method ("Pay automatically"), without removing your payment method, and turn it back on at any time. Turning it off, or removing the payment method, takes effect at once for any payment not yet started. You can also ask us by email at globusfencing@gmail.com; your email must reach us at least 3 business days before the payment you want to stop. While automatic payment is off, you pay each statement and camp balance yourself in the app by its due date, and reminders continue. Stopping automatic payment does not cancel what you already owe.
4. Bank payments
A payment from a bank account can take up to four business days to arrive and can still fail after it has started. If it fails, the statement becomes unpaid again and we tell you in the app.
5. Private lessons
Private (single) lessons are paid for when you book them, from your saved debit card or bank account, as described in our Cancellation and Billing Policy.
